Bryan Hulbert – ELDON, Mo. (September 10, 2020) Taking laps at Lake Ozark Speedway with the Racinboys.com ASCS Warrior Region presented by Impact Signs, Awnings, and Wraps this past weekend, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. captured a weekend high fifth-place finish during Saturday's opener before having to play catch up the following night.

"The track was a little different than what we are used to both nights, and we just didn't make the right moves for what it did," commented Sam on the overall weekend.

Slipping from third to fifth in the Hills Racing No. 15h, the thought was the track was going to go away more than it did, resulting in the car getting too tight.

"We just couldn't get freed up enough to run the cushion the way we needed too, so that cost us, but all in all, we weren't terrible, just not what we usually are."

Gridding the field sixth on Sunday, the second lap saw Sam spin and have to fight his way back through the field.

"I spun on the second lap, fell back to 18th, and slowly made my way forward, but we just didn't have the car the way we needed it to be. As good as we've been there in the past, I feel like if we'd been closer on the setup, I could have at least contended. Just lacking forward drive and put myself behind the eight-ball."

Looking to this weekend, the team plans to run Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, at I-80 Speedway. The Friday affair is with the Nebraska 360 Sprint Cars, and Saturday will see the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network join the lineup.
