Bryan Hulbert – ROSSBURG, Ohio (May 6, 2021) Picking up substantial speed over the past couple of weeks, Sam Hafertepe, Jr. will hit the Highbanks of the Eldora Speedway this weekend with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.

A look back at the past few outings, Hafertepe has a lot to be happy about. While the final results at the Bristol Motor Speedway were not what he wanted, Sam left the weekend with a fourth-place finish in prelim competition, as well as the new Track Record at 13.326-seconds with an average speed of 142.098 MPH.

“It means a lot to me to be able to accomplish something like that in the short amount of time we’ve been focusing on our 410cid program to get the speed that we’ve had and to showcase it at Bristol was neat because it’s not every day you get to race at Bristol. The whole experience was really cool, and something a lot of people are not going to forget. For at least another year anyway,” stated Hafertepe when asked about his overall takeaway from the event.

Chasing the FloRacing All-Star Circuit of Champion this past weekend, victory finally came to the Hills Racing No. 15h at Tri-City Raceway Park in Franklin, Penn. Starting the weekend at Sharon Speedway, Hafertepe struggled early before ending his night in the B-Feature.

“The first night, honestly, we hadn’t been on anything that slick since we started the ‘H’ Tire and it caught us off guard. We did get rolling in the B-Feature, but by then it was too little, too late. The next night, we just moved on, reset, and really were quick right out the gate despite almost wrecking while Qualifying. Somehow, we were still sixth quick, so in the Heat, we knew we were going to lock into the dash no matter what so we tried a few things. Luckily, we drew the pole of the dash and from there on out, we led every lap and learned a lot more on the car as far as what we can get away with, and what we can’t.”

Let’s Race Two at Eldora Speedway takes place Friday, May 7, and Saturday, May 8. Events are shown live on http://www.dirtvision.com. Special thanks go out to Champion Brands for their continued support of Sam Hafertepe, Jr. and the Hills Racing Team No. 15H.
